Digital Dashboard User Interface Reference

While developing a Digital Dashboard, you encounter and use property pages and dialog boxes to help you define and design your dashboard project.

The project hierarchy is displayed in the Solution Explorer showing everything that is contained in the dashboard. This includes the dashboard folder itself, any Web Parts, regular folders, other files that are not Web Parts. In addition, Sub Dashboards will be displayed in the hierarchy.

  • Project Properties (Digital Dashboard)
    Each Digital Dashboard has properties that are exposed in the Properties Browser.
  • Web Parts Properties
    The Properties Browser exposes the properties of Web Parts. The properties are displayed in alphabetical order in the property grid, with the exception of Name, which is at the top.
  • XSL/Stylesheet Property Dialog Box
    Extensible Stylesheet Language (XSL) style sheets are created to filter and present the Extensible Markup Language (XML) data.

    The Script Editor has several features to simplify the process of writing and editing code. The exact features that are available vary, depending on the options set for the Script Editor in the Options dialog box in the Tools menu.
  • Exchange Workflow Projects
    Microsoft® Exchange workflows have their own project. Each project represents a folder.
  • SQL Server Workflow Projects
    When you create a new workflow project, you encounter a number of dialog boxes that collect information for your application.
