Internet disconnects and won't reconnect until restart

My computer is having internet issues, when I try to stream, only when I try to stream, it disconnects from the internet and won't reconnect until I restart.

I can navigate in the internet without issue, download, play games, watch movies, etc. no problem at all, I try to stream, and in a couple minutes the internet disconnects and will not reconnect until I restart.

But the internet itself is not offline, I can still access it through my tablet

I tried everything I could find online in the past few weeks to try to solve the issue, it's been happening for over a year now.

It happens almost immediately when I try to stream using OBS Studio, but not only when I try to stream, it is also infrequent, there are days there is no issue, other days it disconnects 3-4 times in a single day.

So far I have:

  • Tried to run windows troubleshooters, it didn't find any issue it could fix, it says there is a problem, but does nothing to fix it.
  • Tried to run console commands to reset the connection ( netsh int ip reset / netsh advfirewall reset / netsh winsock reset / ipconfig /flushdns / ipconfig /release / ipconfig /renew )
  • Tried asking for help from my ISP, they replaced the modem, twice, it didn't change anything, disconnects still happen.
  • During this time I had issues with my motherboard and had to replace it, the problem happened both before and after I replaced the motherboard
  • I tried to uninstall and reinstall the network drives, it did not work.
  • I tried to completely format my computer, it did not work either.
  • I tried using a different streaming software, but the problem kept occurring.

My motherboard model:

BaseBoard Manufacturer Micro-Star International Co. Ltd.

BaseBoard Product MAG B460 Tomahawk MS7C81

Baseboard Version 1.0

When the problem happens, if I try to run the troubleshoot, it displays the error below:

    Some other things to try

    1. uninstall the proton vpn and software
    2. disable all unused network adapters
    3. try disabling the router's IPv6 DHCP server

I'm running into this issue as well.

Ethernet connection fails and many applications (besides chrome) lose connection (Slack, Discord, ALL Windows apps, etc). I have to restart my computer to fix it, but restarting my computer spins and spins and I have to force restart by pushing the button on my computer.

Once restarted everything works fine again until I try Steam Remote Streaming to my TV or another computer,
or if I use Microsoft Teams, or a Slack huddle, or other streaming/video call type activity. (Zoom does not break the connection for whatever reason.)

I've tried many of the solutions in this thread to no avail. My PC is 2 years old and has great hardware.
