When I log in, a window opens on my desktop with "Microsoft family features" in the heading, telling me to ask for permission to use "Windows Shell Experience". My account is the adult account in my family and there should not be any Microsoft family restrictions on my account. Why am I getting this window?

Same issue, seems to coincide with the Family screen time settings not updating on my kid's account. I adjusted the times for summer vacation but the computer is still cutting her off at the old times.

Also, the weekly update has red sentence about "some settings on your child's device don't allow activity monitoring".  I ran the url to "fix" it, https://aka.ms/familyverify but nothing happened.  I'd say these symptoms are all related.

What you are experiencing with the red text about kids settings need updating is seperate issue to this.

The way I solved your problem was thus. I set both my kids PC's to autologin as the default account so they dont have to type in the password. To solve the red text issue I turned off autologin in the registry (removed the reg keys), rebooted, logged in using the kids username and password, turned back on autologin in the registry (or download the little autologin util - google it) then rebooted. Kids PC's worked as normal and the red text on the family signin on my account disappeared.

This happened to me before the last 1803 update. The error most people on here are reporting seems to have happened after the last big 1803 update.

I just updated my computer, and am now getting this message. I checked all of the settings and followed the "recommended" steps to get rid of it and nothing worked. Still pops up upon log in. My son is only 7 so I have to have some sort of restrictions on his use, and family allows me to do this. Please fix!!
