Good day from Singapore,
Today I was trying to reinstall Windows 10 version 20H2 on Asus Vivobook 15 X513E laptop. The SSD is Intel SSDPEKNW NVMe SSD.
Windows 10 installation tool cannot detect the SSD. It says:
We couldn't find any drives. To get a storage driver, click Load driver.
I tried to download the NVMe SSD driver from the following links but it doesn't work.

Here is my specs:
MSI MEG Z590 GODLIKE Mobo
i9-11900k CPU
RAID0 Array 1 (2x 2TB Samsung 980 PRO)
RAID0 Array 2 (2x 1TB Samsung 870 EVO)When attempting to install windows the drives were not showing up as an option. I went to the motherboards website and Intel to grab every single Intel RST VMD driver package. I put them all on a separate USB. (Download and extract them to the USB)
Every time I tried to “load drivers” during the windows install, it was saying none of the ones I downloaded were compatible. Which is CRAZY since they came from the MSI website for my exact MOBO?!?
I found the answer…. Turns out that I needed the “non-Intel VMD” driver. I found it here:
Step 1 in that link has two links, one of which is the “non-Intel”.
I downloaded that, extracted it on to the USB, and plugged it in. Ran the windows install, hit load driver, and POOF now it shows a compatible driver. I loaded the driver and now all my drives showed up.

I searched for this driver all over and Intel provided 670p but this is what i needed! could not had done this without the help!

but just in case it'll help someone, this what worked for me:
- go into bios (mine is asus)
- advanced
- VMD setup menu
- VMD controller -> disabled.
start your Windows installation again and the storage will be appeared.

By example ASUS Bios. While inside the BIOS, press f7 to enter advanced mode
