Connecting the HP Compaq t5530 Thin Client Development Platform (Windows Embedded CE 6.0)

You can connect the HP Compaq T5530 Thin Client development platform to a development workstation. To connect the device, you will need the following components:
- Power cord
- Null modem serial cable for debug output
- Ethernet network cable
The following components are optional:
- Keyboard
- Mouse
- VGA monitor
To set up the HP Compaq t5530 Thin Client development platform hardware
Connect a null modem serial cable from the development workstation to the serial port on the rear of the HP Compaq t5530 Thin Client development platform.
Connect an Ethernet cable from the network hub or switch to the RJ45 Ethernet port on the rear of the HP Compaq t5530 Thin Client development platform.
Optionally, attach a keyboard, mouse, and VGA monitor to the HP Compaq t5530 Thin Client.
On the development workstation, configure a terminal program such as HyperTerminal to communicate with the HP Compaq t5530 Thin Client development platform boot loader. The terminal program will also be used to display debug information.
Configure the proper COM port on the development workstation to use the following settings:
- Baud
- Bits
- Parity
- Stop
- Flow Control
- 38000
- 8
- None
- 1
- Hardware
- Baud
Connect the power cable and turn on the HP Compaq t5530 Thin Client development platform.
