Building a Powerful Survey Infrastructure
Surveys can provide a fast and inexpensive way to gather data (whether you need to collect feedback from customers or employees) that can be used to improve business decisions. But the problem that many organizations face is that they have a range of disparate tools, spread across organizations. The ideal solution should be a centralized tool that each group can use and refine to meet their specific needs. And it must be easy to use so groups can gather and analyze data when they need it without relying on support from IT.
Continuing our look at SharePoint, the February issue of TechNet Magazine includes an article on Building a Powerful Survey Infrastructure. In this article, Jim Bradley shows you how to use InfoPath 2007 with WSS and MOSS to create a rich survey solution.
This article also contains two special online-only sidebars that weren't available in print: "Using E-Mail for Quick Surveys" and "Build a Database-Driven Survey Solution".
Feel free to post feedback to tell us how your organization uses surveys.
Cheers,
matt
