CurrencyManager.MetaDataChanged Event

Definition

Occurs when the metadata of the List has changed.

public:
 event EventHandler ^ MetaDataChanged;
public event EventHandler MetaDataChanged;
public event EventHandler? MetaDataChanged;
member this.MetaDataChanged : EventHandler
Public Custom Event MetaDataChanged As EventHandler

Event Type

Examples

The following code example demonstrates the use of this member. In the example, an event handler reports on the occurrence of the MetaDataChanged event. This report helps you to learn when the event occurs and can assist you in debugging. To report on multiple events or on events that occur frequently, consider replacing MessageBox.Show with Console.WriteLine or appending the message to a multiline TextBox.

To run the example code, paste it into a project that contains an instance of type CurrencyManager named CurrencyManager1. Then ensure that the event handler is associated with the MetaDataChanged event.

private void CurrencyManager1_MetaDataChanged(Object sender, EventArgs e) {

   MessageBox.Show("You are in the CurrencyManager.MetaDataChanged event.");
}
Private Sub CurrencyManager1_MetaDataChanged(sender as Object, e as EventArgs) _
     Handles CurrencyManager1.MetaDataChanged

   MessageBox.Show("You are in the CurrencyManager.MetaDataChanged event.")

End Sub

Remarks

The metadata of the List consists of the schema of the underlying Binding.DataSource. The MetaDataChanged event is raised when that schema has changed. For example, the MetaDataChanged event is raised when a DataColumn is programmatically added to a DataTable.
