Definition

Gets the query string that accompanied the request. This API is obsolete. For information about how to develop ASP.NET mobile applications, see Mobile Apps & Sites with ASP.NET.

public:
 property System::String ^ QueryStringText { System::String ^ get(); };
[System.ComponentModel.Browsable(false)]
public string QueryStringText { get; }
[<System.ComponentModel.Browsable(false)>]
member this.QueryStringText : string
Public ReadOnly Property QueryStringText As String

Property Value

The query string that accompanied the request.

Attributes

Remarks

The property returns any characters in the request that follow the question mark (?) in the URL. This value can be different from the ServerVariables property. For devices where a unique file path suffix is inserted into a URL for postback, this property automatically strips out the file path suffix. For example, if the original query is "/home.aspx?id=john+doe", the value of the QueryStringText property will be "id=john+doe". A following postback URL could be "/home.aspx?_ufps=20292303920&id=john+doe". On this last postback, the value of the QueryStringText property will again be "id=john+doe", because the unique suffix will be stripped out.

Caution

If the key portion of the key/value pair stored in the QueryStringText property is the same as the ID property of a control on the MobilePage object, the view state and the key/value pair are removed from the QueryStringText property.
