How to: Format a Title within a Chart (Report Builder)

The chart, y- and x-axis titles can all be formatted to make your report attractive and readable.

To format a chart title

  1. In Report Builder design mode, right-click anywhere on the chart.

  2. Click Chart Options.

  3. On the Titles tab, click Font in the Chart title area.

    The Format dialog box opens.

  4. Select the formatting options you want to apply to the title of the chart.

  5. Click OK, and then click OK again.

To format an X- Axis title

  1. In Report Builder design mode, right-click anywhere on the chart.

  2. Click Chart Options.

  3. On the Titles tab, click Font in the Category (X) Axis area.

    The Format dialog box opens.

  4. Select the formatting options you want to apply to the x-axis title.

  5. Click OK, and then click OK again.

To format a Y- Axis title

  1. In Report Builder design mode, right-click anywhere on the chart.

  2. Click Chart Options.

  3. On the Titles tab, click Font in the Category (Y) Axis area.

    The Format dialog box opens.

  4. Select the formatting options you want to apply to the y-axis title.

  5. Click OK, and then click OK again.
