This package provides support for basic Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) functionality, such as installing and managing WMI providers, and running scripts. Included is the Windows Management Instrumentation Command-line (WMIC) tool.
Many aspects of WMI functionality are included with Windows Embedded Core and should be sufficient for most WMI providers.

Group Policy settings must be such that using WMI is permitted. User Account Control (UAC) settings, for example, can restrict access to remote computers and even the type of data that WMI objects return.
