Retrieves a substring from this string. The substring starts at the specified zero-based character index and continues to the end of the string.

Substring(Int32, Int32)

Retrieves a substring from this string. The substring starts at the specified zero-based character index and has the specified length.

Retrieves a substring from this string. The substring starts at the specified zero-based character index and continues to the end of the string.

Parameters

startIndex
Int32

The zero-based character index of a substring in this string.

Returns

A string that is equivalent to the substring that starts at the specified startIndex in this string, or Empty if startIndex is equal to the length of this string.

Exceptions

startIndex is greater than the length of this string.

Remarks

If startIndex is zero, the method returns the original string unchanged.
