How to Edit Customer Properties

This topic describes how to edit the properties of an existing customer.

To edit the properties of an existing customer

  1. To open Marketing Manager, click Start, point to Microsoft Commerce Server 2009 , and then click Marketing Manager.

  2. In Marketing Manager, in the Views pane, click Campaigns.

  3. In the Tree View pane, click All Customers.

    Note

    If you cannot see the Tree View pane, click Tree View on the toolbar.

  4. In the Search Results pane, select the customer who you want to edit.

  5. In the Task pane, click Edit.

  6. In the Customer Properties screen, on the Base Properties tab, do the following:

    Use this

    To do this

    Customer Name

    Type the name of the customer.

    Customer ID

    View the customer ID.

    Commerce Server 2009 automatically assigns the customer ID to the customer when you create the ID.

    You cannot edit this box.

    Type

    Select the type of relationship you have with the customer from the drop-down list. The types of relationships are as follows:

    • Self

    • Advertiser

    • Agency

    Industry ID

    Select the industry for the customer from the drop-down list.

    You use the Industry Codes screen to identify the associated industry of an ad. For information about industry codes, see Managing Industry Codes.

    Comments

    Type any required comments about the customer.

  7. On the Contact Information tab, do the following:

    Use this

    To do this

    Address

    Type the address for the customer. This includes street address, city, state, ZIP Code/Postal Code, and country/region.

    URL

    Type the URL associated with the customer.

    Contact

    Type the contact information for the customer.

    E-mail

    Type the e-mail address for the contact.

    Phone

    Type the phone number for the contact.

    Fax

    Type the fax number for the contact.

  8. Click Save and close on the toolbar.
