Introduction to Web Services in Exchange 2010

The Web services that are included in Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 provide an XML messaging interface that enables you to manage Exchange store items and access Exchange server functionality from client applications.

Exchange 2010 includes the following Web services:

  • Exchange Web Services (EWS)

  • The Autodiscover (SOAP) service

  • The Autodiscover (POX) service

  • The Unified Messaging Web service
