Connection Types
Connection Manager can handle the following connection types, provided that the Connection Manager configuration service provider enumerates the connection properly:
- Remote Access Service (RAS) connections using the Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP)
- Virtual Private Network (VPN) connections
- General Packet Radio Services (GPRS) connections
- Proxy Server connections
- Wi-Fi (802.11) connections
- Wired Ethernet (802.3) connections
- Desktop Passthrough (DTPT) connections
The following diagram illustrates the different types of connections that Connection Manager can help establish.
