Security Levels of Connection Types
Different connections have different security levels, as shown in the following table.
Connection type | Security level |

DTPT | Level 1 (most secure) |
NIC | Level 10 |
Wi-Fi | Level 10 |
CSD | Level 100 |
GPRS | Level 100 |
1xRTT | Level 100 (least secure) |
If an application requests a secure connection and there is no active connection that is more secure, Connection Manager makes the connection and disables all other connections with lower security level. If the application requests a secure connection and there is an active connection with a higher security level, Connection Manager does not make the requested secure connection, and returns the status code CONNMGR_STATUS_EXCLUSIVECONFLICT.
