SQL Server 2008 Service Pack 4 has released.

UPDATE (June 21 2016): This service pack is now available in the Microsoft Update Catalog .
Microsoft SQL Server Product team is pleased to announce the release of SQL Server 2008 Service Pack 4 (SP4).
As part of our continued commitment to software excellence for our customers, this upgrade is free and doesn’t require an additional service contract. Both, the Service Pack and Feature Pack updates are available for download on the Microsoft Download Center. SQL Server 2008 SP4 contains fixes to issues that have been reported internally, through our customer feedback platforms, and Hotfix solutions provided since SQL Server 2008 Service Pack 3 up to and including Cumulative Update 17. It also includes the MS14-044 update. It is primarily a roll up of Cumulative Updates as it is the last
Service Pack for SQL Server 2008. We will not release Cumulative Updates for SQL Server 2008 SP4. The updated support lifecycle dates of SQL Server 2008 are here.

SQL Server 2008 SP4 will release through other distribution channels over the next couple of weeks.
Notes:
- We are not releasing SQL Server 2008 Express Service Pack 4 refresh.
- We are not releasing IA64 packages of SQL Server 2008 Service Pack4. For IA64 it is recommended to apply the latest update we delivered on SQL Server 2008 Service Pack 3.
- This Service Pack will not be available on Microsoft Update. To facilitate the deployment on your side you could either use custom rules in SCCM or local publishing in WSUS as explained here.
- Slipstream technology is not available for SQL Server 2008. To slipstream a SQL Server 2008 with Service Pack 4 please see https://blogs.msdn.com/b/petersad/archive/2009/02/25/sql-server-2008-creating-a-merged-slisptream-drop.aspx.
Also, we are have released SQL Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 3 last week.

"This Service Pack will not be available on Microsoft Update." Any specific reason for not making it available on Windows Update?Anonymous

Ankit - SQL Server 2008 is past end of mainstream support. I can only assume that due to that, MS doesn't feel like spending the resources to make it available, as they're not obligated to anymore.Anonymous

Can you elaborate when you say "We are not releasing SQL Server 2008 Express Service Pack 4 refresh."? Is the SQL 2008 Express officially supported on Windows 10?
