Jean-Luc David Joins Microsoft

Jean-Luc David is was a Team System MVP & a fellow C# MVP when I was an MVP.  Just yesterday he accepted a job as a Microsoft Developer Evangelist (DE) (for Canada)!  Welcome to the team JL!  Our stock value is bound to go up with you on the team.

The DE role is really cool since you get to visit customer interested in adopting Microsoft technologies.  You get to show them the joys of .NET, Team System, BizTalk, SharePoint, Visual Studio, and ohhh so much.  JL is just the man for the job.

JL has one of the most diverse backgrounds and understandings of MS technology of anyone I know.  He recently was lead author of the book Visual Studio 2005 Team System Professional (a Wrox book) and just authored our advanced training course on Team System.  As the VSTS MVP PG Lead, I'd say a big "THANK YOU" to JL for all he's done as a Team System MVP!

Welcome Jean-Luc!  To quote Noah, You've "taken the red pill, gone blue card, lost my MVP status, been assimilated into the collective, and joined Microsoft!"  Yeah!

Congratulations to Noah's friend for your recent hiring on at Microsoft and for your success in being chief author of an impressive volume, Jean-Luc David.  You have earned the respect of many, and I know that Noah and Dawn have enjoyed your friendship.  The cover of your book looks sharp, and I like the personal touch that the photograph adds.  I admire your ability to coordinate your efforts and the material with the five other authors.  I wish you every success at Microsoft, through your book, and in the future.
