Internet Explorer 7 and Team Foundation? Not 100% just yet
Firstly, an apology. It's been way too long since my last post. Two excuses
- I've been swamped trying to get Team Foundation nailed down for our next release
- I installed Newsgator 2.5 which didn't initially work with the Beta 2 version 2.0 of the .NET framework, so I didn't download any posts for a very long time which meant I stopped thinking about blogging so much
However, for a very good reason (which you'll be pleased to hear about) I was prompted to resurrect my newsreader. I discovered a service release for Newsgator 2.5 and I'm back reading blogs again (when time allowed).
Obviously my first port of call was Rob Caron's blog where I noticed he posted about Team Suite running with Windows Vista Beta 1. This reminded me that we recently had our first reports in of Team Foundation running on Internet Explorer 7.0.
Unfortunately, it's not good news - the embedded HTML control we use within the Work Item forms doesn't seem to work with Internet Explorer 7.0 Beta 1 installed. However, we've started talking to the Internet Explorer 7.0 folks who are clearly working really hard to ensure backward compatibility and are very interested in solving the issues. I don't know that we'll have a fix for the next drop of Team Foundation, but we're going to make sure that we play nicely together in our final releases (and hopefully before then).

I hinted in my last post that there was a reason I was prompted to get Newsgator running again.
