In questa sezione sono riportati due esempi di codice. Il primo esempio di codice illustra come creare una dipendenza della cache di SQL Server e impostare la SqlCacheDependency proprietà di un ObjectDataSource oggetto. Nell'esempio di codice seguente viene illustrato come implementare un metodo wrapper che restituisce un DataSet oggetto per abilitare la memorizzazione nella cache e il filtro con un ObjectDataSource controllo. Nell'implementazione di base della EmployeeLogic classe, il GetAllEmployees metodo restituisce un ArrayList oggetto. Il ObjectDataSource controllo supporta un criterio di scadenza facoltativo basato sull'oggetto SqlCacheDependency per la cache dei dati (il servizio deve essere configurato per il server di database).

SQL Server supporta due meccanismi per l'invalidazione della cache: polling e notifica. Ogni meccanismo ha una sintassi diversa per l'oggetto SqlCacheDependency .

Supporta ObjectDataSource solo il polling. La SqlCacheDependency stringa viene usata per creare un SqlDependency oggetto passato al costruttore prima dell'esecuzione del SelectDbCommand metodo. La SqlCacheDependency stringa identifica i database e le tabelle in base allo stesso formato utilizzato dalla @ Page direttiva, dove la prima parte della stringa è una stringa di connessione a un database DI SQL Server, seguita da un delimitatore di punti e infine il nome della tabella di database , ad esempio "connectionstring1:table1". Se la SqlCacheDependency proprietà dipende da più tabelle, la stringa di connessione e le coppie nome tabella sono separate da punti e virgola , ad esempio "connectionstring1:table1";connectionstring2:table2".

Per supportare la notifica, è necessario scrivere la logica della cache nell'implementazione della proprietà e gestire la costruzione dell'oggetto SelectMethodSqlCacheDependency nel codice.
