Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP) (Compact 2013)

3/26/2014

Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP) is an adaptation of Network Time Protocol (NTP). Windows Embedded Compact supports SNTP technology. You can add SNTP to applications by including the appropriate catalog items in the OS. Applications can then use SNTP to synchronize computer clocks on a network.

Note   The device clock must be set to 2035 or earlier. For more information see the task force memo, SNTP Version 4 for IPv4, IPv6 and OSI.

To add this feature to your OS, see Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP) Catalog Items and Sysgen Variables.

For reference information, see SNTP Registry Settings.
