DLL Implemented In

CDOEX.DLL

Syntax

[Visual Basic]Property ReceivedTime As Date

[C++]HRESULT get_ReceivedTime(DATEpVal);

Parameters

  • pVal
    Returns the value of the ReceivedTime property as a reference to a DATE.

Remarks

This property is also available as the datereceived Field.

The ReceivedTime property is determined from the last entry for "Received:" in the SMTP headers.

The IMessage SentOn Property and the ReceivedTime property hold the date/time in the time zone specified in the associated Configuration object using the timezoneid Field. If the time zone is not set in the IConfiguration Fields Property collection, the date and time are held in the server's local time zone. If there is no server involved, the receiving user's local time zone is used.

If the ReceivedTime property could not be set from the headers, attempting to read it results in an error of CDO_E_PROP_NOT_FOUND.
