remove Element for properties for profile (ASP.NET Settings Schema)

Removes a property definition from the user profile.

This element is new in the .NET Framework version 2.0.

Attribute Description

name

Required String attribute.

Specifies the name of the property definition to remove from the collection.

Specifies the required root element in every configuration file that is used by the common language runtime and the .NET Framework applications.

system.web

Specifies the root element for the ASP.NET configuration section.

profile

Configures the user profile for an application.

properties

Optional element.

Defines a collection of user profile properties and property groups.

Example

The following code example demonstrates how to remove any existing profile property definition named RecentSearchList by using the <remove> element before adding a new profile property definition named RecentSearchList.
