Health management reports in Microsoft Purview
Here's how you can access and use the data governance health reports in Microsoft Purview.
Health management reports allow your users to drill into further detail about your health management and create customized reports for your business.
You have access to our all our classic reports see list of available classic reports, and any reports your organization has created.
Currently available reports
- Classic Asset - an overview of assets by type and collection, and their curation status.
- Classic Catalog adoption - to understand at a glance how Microsoft Purview Unified Catalog is being used. your glossary, providing a snapshot of terms and their status.
- Classic Classification - an overview of assets classified and the types of classifications.
- Classic Data stewardship - for the governance and quality focused users, like data stewards and chief data officers, to understand governance health gaps like asset curation and asset ownership.
- Classic Glossary - health and use of glossary terms.
- Classic Sensitivity label -an overview of assets that have sensitivity labels applied and the types of labels applied.
- Data governance health - to understand your data estate governance and performance of data governance controls.
- Data quality health - this report includes assessments of various data quality dimensions, and metrics to help stakeholders understand the accuracy, completeness, consistency, reliability, and freshness of your data estate.
Scheduling classic reports
Classic reports can be scheduled from the Solution Settings page. Only users with the Data Governance Admin role have access to Solution Settings to schedule or toggle the scheduled job on and off. If you turn off the schedule, all insights reports, including historical reports, will no longer be available.
Note
- The Data Governance Health Report has dependencies on Data Health Controls. If customers do not use the Data Health Controls, the Data Governance Health Report will not be refreshed. Please ensure that you have setup the schedule to run Data health controls and refreshing the health controls scores and Data governance health report.
- The Data Quality Health Report has dependencies on Data Health Controls and Purview Metadata Self-serve analytics model. If customers do not use the Data Health Controls and do not subscribe Purview Unified Catalog metadata then the Data Quality Health Report will not be refreshed. Customers either need to use Data Health Controls or need to subscribe purview metadata for self-serve analytics to refresh Data Quality health report.
- If customers don't use Data Quality feature, the Data Quality Health report will show blank because Data Qualty Health report is created using data that are generating from Data Quality scan feature.
