What Is the Event Processing Pipeline?

The Event Processing pipeline records the occurrence of events on your Web site, such as a user clicking a particular ad.

The Event Processing pipeline consists of the following stages:

• Load Context stage. Commerce Server Core Systemsincludes no components for this stage. Commerce Server Core Systems provides this stage for custom extensions to the Content Selection Framework (CSF).

• Record stage. Records the selection made to a database, the server log file, or a history string. Components include:

  • CSFIISAppendToLog

  • CSFRecordEvent

• Format stage. Commerce Server Core Systems includes no components for this stage. Commerce Server Core Systems provides this stage for custom extensions to the CSF.
