Protected Friend Overrides Sub OnLeave (e As EventArgs)

Parameters

e
EventArgs

An EventArgs that contains the event data.

Remarks

In .NET Framework 2.0, the tab is considered part of the tab page for determining when the Enter and Leave events of the TabPage occur. In earlier versions of the .NET Framework, the Enter and Leave events of the TabPage do not occur when focus enters or leaves a tab, but only when focus enters or leaves the client rectangle of the tab page.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Handling and Raising Events.

The OnLeave method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors

When overriding OnLeave(EventArgs) in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnLeave(EventArgs) method so that registered delegates receive the event.
