MaskedTextBox.MaskChanged Event

Definition

Occurs after the input mask is changed.

public:
 event EventHandler ^ MaskChanged;
public event EventHandler MaskChanged;
public event EventHandler? MaskChanged;
member this.MaskChanged : EventHandler
Public Custom Event MaskChanged As EventHandler

Event Type

Examples

The following code example demonstrates the use of this member. In the example, an event handler reports on the occurrence of the MaskChanged event. This report helps you to learn when the event occurs and can assist you in debugging. To report on multiple events or on events that occur frequently, consider replacing MessageBox.Show with Console.WriteLine or appending the message to a multiline TextBox.

To run the example code, paste it into a project that contains an instance of type MaskedTextBox named MaskedTextBox1. Then ensure that the event handler is associated with the MaskChanged event.

private void MaskedTextBox1_MaskChanged(Object sender, EventArgs e) {

   MessageBox.Show("You are in the MaskedTextBox.MaskChanged event.");
}
Private Sub MaskedTextBox1_MaskChanged(sender as Object, e as EventArgs) _
     Handles MaskedTextBox1.MaskChanged

   MessageBox.Show("You are in the MaskedTextBox.MaskChanged event.")

End Sub

Remarks

The MaskChanged event is raised after the value of the Mask property is changed. This event is also raised if the MaskedTextProvider is indirectly altered by a member such as Mask, AllowPromptAsInput, AsciiOnly, and Culture.
