GridView.ColumnHeaderStringFormat Property

Gets or sets a composite string that specifies how to format the column headers of the GridView if they are displayed as strings.

Property Value

A composite string that specifies how to format the column headers of the GridView if they are displayed as strings. The default is null.

Remarks

If the GridView.ColumnHeaderTemplate, GridViewColumn.HeaderTemplate, or GridViewHeaderRowPresenter.ColumnHeaderTemplate property is set, this property is ignored.

You can use several properties to specify the format of the column headers. If more than one property is set, the column header is formatted with the value of the property that has the highest priority. The format for a column can be set on several types. The following list shows the properties that can be used to format the column headers, ordered from lowest to highest priority:
