Gets or sets a value that indicates whether the membership user can be authenticated.

Property Value

true if the user can be authenticated; otherwise, false.

Remarks

The ActiveDirectoryMembershipUser value for a membership user is checked during the call to ValidateUser by the ActiveDirectoryMembershipProvider. If the IsApproved property returns false, the ValidateUser method returns false even if the supplied user name and password are correct.

The IsApproved property is mapped to one of the following Active Directory attributes.

Service Attribute
Active Directory User-Account-Control
Active Directory Application Mode msDS-UserAccountDisabled

This property cannot be remapped to another attribute.
