DoStaticCompression

The DoStaticCompression property performs the same function as the global HcDoStaticCompression property, but is used for enabling or disabling static content compression at the individual site or site element level.

Before you can use DoStaticCompression to customize compression at the site or site element level, at least one compression scheme (gzip or deflate) must be enabled in the HcDoStaticCompression property at the IIS Admin Object Hierarchy level. This setting determines which compression schemes IIS will support for static content; gzip, deflate, or both.

You can either enable compression of static content server-wide, and then disable it at specific locations as needed, or, you can disable compression of static content server-wide, and then enable it only at the locations you specify. For more information on these 2 approaches, see HcDoStaticCompression.
