You can share customized viewers with other users of Microsoft code name “Quadrant”. For examples of viewer customization, see How to: Customize a Viewer Using the Workpad UI and How to: Customize a Viewer Using a Configuration Template.
To create a configuration file
Right-click the workpad and click View Source. The viewer template (which is represented in Microsoft code name “M”) opens.
Copy the code to the clipboard.
On the File menu, click New, and then click M File.
On the File menu, click Save As. Save the file as an “M” file. This file can then be shared with other “Quadrant” users.
To deploy the configuration file in "Quadrant"
On the File menu, click Open File....
Navigate to the directory where the .m file is located and open the file.
Right-click the opened file and click Deploy….
In the Deploy dialog, use the default value for the Use existing database session option.
The data is deployed into the “Quadrant” database. That database contains all the configuration data that is used by “Quadrant” when displaying viewers.
Click Deploy.
