Prepare for SQL 70-431 without leaving your desk… (more info on SQL Server 2005 cert prep)

Microsoft Learning recently introduced this new product (Microsoft Official Distance Learning) that is half classroom training (with a live instructor and labs) and half e-learning (where you don’t have to leave your desk). One of the first courses available happens to be course 2785: Implementing and Maintaining a SQL Server 2005 Database; which preps you fully for exam 70-431. Check this list of certified partners for Learning Solutions who can register you for this course right now. If this isn’t available in your area or doesn’t sound like what you want, don’t forget that all the e-learning related to exams 70-431 and 70-447 (upgrading from MCDBA) are on special now, as are the practice tests.     A five week MODL course would be similarly priced to a five-day traditional classroom course; a good benchmark for pricing might be around $US2400. Having said that, pricing is set by each provider individually so you need to check with the CPLS offering the course for the real answer....
