USB4 Systems PCIe Over USB4 Tunneled Protocol Mapping Support
Verifies that systems with USB4 host routers specify (via _DSD) the mapping of tunneled native protocol ports to the correct USB4 host router.
Description
Systems with USB4 host routers must support _DSD on the USB4 host router device or the _DSD ACPI method, as defined in ACPI Interface: Device Specific Data (_DSD) for PCIe Root Ports,to map tunneled native protocol ports (PCIe) to the correct USB4 host router. This enables Windows to enumerate the correct dependencies between the tunneled protocols and the USB4 host routers on the system.
Note
In the first Windows release supporting the USB4 software configuration manager, USB4 capable systems must describe their tunneled protocol mappings using the _DSD method in ACPI. Support for PCIe add-in cards with DVSEC-described mapping are not supported.
