Manual Test - Verify eMMC is enumerated in mass storage mode (76b388f9-e01f-45b1-9e1b-2a517bb07de5)
This is a manual test & it should be run outside HLK by following the manual instructions provided below. If this test is run as an automated test from HLK studio/controller, the test will pass by default without testing any functionality.
Manual instructions to run this test:
- Hardware Prerequisites
- Applicable to 8998 MTP hardware only
- USB Type C cable
- Software Prerequisites
- Flashed Device
- Setting up the Test
- Enter UEFI menu and disable USB Host mode
- Running the Test
- Connect device to a PC directly using USB C cable
- Press power button + volume up key on device to enter UEFI
- Use the volume up & volume down buttons to navigate through the items in UEFI menu
- Select USB Mass Storage mode
- Select Data Partition under LUN 0
- Mount selected partition
- Open explorer on PC and look for the new mounted partition
- Verification
- Verify that EMMC UFC storage partition is visible after entering USB mass storage mode
Note: This test is associated with an optional feature: System.Client.ARM64DesktopHardware. It will not appear in the list of tests in HLK studio for a system target by default. Optional: To enable it to show up in the list of tests for system target in HLK studio, run the following steps:
- In HLK Studio, select system target
- Right click on the selected system target
- Click on Add\Modify Features
- A Device Feature List window will open up
- Scroll down to select the feature named: System.Client.MobileHardware
- Click on the check box to enable this optional feature
- This test will now appear in the list of applicable tests for the selected system target in HLK studio
