The Microsoft® Exchange 2000 Server event logs contain details about errors and events on the server that might help you diagnose a problem.

This topic contains information about some of the common error messages you might encounter.

  • Registration Errors
    You receive registration errors when you do not have the correct permissions on the Exchange folder or the server is not operating correctly.
  • Opening an Existing Project Errors
    You receive loading errors when Microsoft® Exchange 2000 Server is not running properly or you might not have write permissions on the folder in which the workflow process is located.
  • Saving and Copying Errors
    If you are unable to save a workflow process or changes to a folder, you do not have the correct permissions on the Exchange folder.
  • Script Errors
    A typo or the stray use of characters or keywords that have special meaning to Microsoft® Visual Basic® Scripting Edition (VBScript) can cause script errors.
  • Add Item Errors
    If you encounter problems adding items, you might have a duplicate name, invalid file format, or permissions problems.
