clear Element for providers for profile (ASP.NET Settings Schema)

Removes all profile provider instances from the user profile provider collection.

This element is new in the .NET Framework version 2.0.

Specifies the root element for the ASP.NET configuration section.

profile

Configures the user profile for an application.

providers

Defines a collection of profile providers for the user profile.

Example

The following code example shows how to configure an ASP.NET application to use the SqlProfileProvider provider to store and retrieve profile information. The <clear> element clears the ProfileProviderCollection collection before adding the SqlProfileProvider.
