Examples

Create a container app by implicitly passing in a Compose configuration file from current directory.

az containerapp compose create -g MyResourceGroup \
    --environment MyContainerappEnv

Create a container app by explicitly passing in a Compose configuration file.

az containerapp compose create -g MyResourceGroup \
    --environment MyContainerappEnv \
    --compose-file-path "path/to/docker-compose.yml"

Required Parameters

--environment

Name or resource ID of the container app's environment.

--resource-group -g

Name of resource group. You can configure the default group using az configure --defaults group=<name>.

Optional Parameters

--compose-file-path -f

Path to a Docker Compose file with the configuration to import to Azure Container Apps.

Default value: ./docker-compose.yml
--location -l

Location. Values from: az account list-locations. You can configure the default location using az configure --defaults location=<location>.

--registry-password

The password to log in to container registry. If stored as a secret, value must start with 'secretref:' followed by the secret name.

--registry-server

The container registry server hostname, e.g. myregistry.azurecr.io.

--registry-username

The username to log in to container registry.

--tags

Space-separated tags: key[=value] [key[=value] ...]. Use "" to clear existing tags.

--transport
Deprecated

Option '--transport' has been deprecated and will be removed in a future release. Use '--transport-mapping' instead.

--transport-mapping

Transport options per Container App instance (servicename=transportsetting).

Global Parameters
--debug

Increase logging verbosity to show all debug logs.

--help -h

Show this help message and exit.

--only-show-errors

Only show errors, suppressing warnings.

--output -o

Output format.

Accepted values: json, jsonc, none, table, tsv, yaml, yamlc
Default value: json
--query

JMESPath query string. See http://jmespath.org/ for more information and examples.

--subscription

Name or ID of subscription. You can configure the default subscription using az account set -s NAME_OR_ID.

--verbose

Increase logging verbosity. Use --debug for full debug logs.
