How to restore F4 "repeat last command" function?

Something got knocked loose in one of my documents, and F4 no longer repeats the last command as it normally does. Instead it sets the selected paragraph's style to Normal.

I know how to assign a command to a shortcut, but what command do I want to assign? I can't find anything about this on the Web. I could look it up in another file where F4 still works, but although I know how to find the shortcut key assigned to a given command, I don't know any way to find the command assigned to a given shortcut key.

The problem is not limited to a single file. It affects some files but not others. I have not identified a common factor in the files affected.

I'd agree the problem lies in File -Options -CustomiseRibbon -KeyboardShortcuts -AllCommands -EditRedoOrRepeat
For me, F4 re-started to work properly when I made F4 the only keyboard shortcut under EditRedoOrRepeat - previously there was also ?Alt-Enter in there.
An infuriating problem - it seems Microsoft aren't really interested in anything but getting their users to help themselves?!
