Hi,
We have 3-4 remote desktop session host server and single RD Licensing Server in Win Server 2019 all are joined in AD. In Session host server's we have pointed in Group Policy to that specific license server and license type is "per user "

But still users getting "remote desktop license issue session will end in 60 mins. " My questions is if users connecting to session host from RDP licensing server license not getting issued 168659-screenshot-2022-01-26-at-70647-pm.pngfrom Session host license server is accessible not sure why it's not issuing. In RD Licensing Diagnoser don't found any errors. All the config are good what is missing not sure.

Please help and resolve this issue.

    Hi cthivierge,
Thanks. Have checked it earlier multiple license servers was installed but now having only one. Due to that multiple servers added in Builtin\Terminal Server License Servers.

Have removed all except current license server. Please confirm need to do license server reboot? or all session host server's?

    Hi @Mohammed Barakathulla ,

If after adding the license server in the Builtin\Terminal Server License Servers group the server as rebooted, then you should be ok.

This configuration can also be done in the license manager console by clicking on the "Add to group"

    Hi Cthivierge,
One point have missed. All our Remote desktop session host server's and license server is in same domain. But we have created local users in Remote desktop session host server's separately.

While logging into remote desktop all the user authentication happening based on that local user's only its not happening from AD Users might be we are getting that pop up.

Not sure for this scenario license type should be "per user" or "per device"

    Hi Cthivierge,

Thanks for the clarification. We have purchased "USER Cal's" only. In license server if i convert USER Cal's to Device CAL's issue will be resolved.

And in group policy will update license type as Device CAL this both the settings will help to resolve the issue? For my scenario and have to keep license server added in Builtin\Terminal Server License Servers group or can remove it.
