So my 5 year old HIGH SPEC Asus X75VS with i5 3230M is not going to be compatible with Win 11 ?
Why did I think otherwise ?
It is a 2.6Ghz processor with 2 cores and my laptop has 8 (read it.. 8 Gb RAM) - Again not good enough
How can I discover the version of Direct X installed ? - its not going to be up to date / good enough is it ?
I also am waiting for the bugging messages to start "TIME TO UPGRADE....." but I can't and shouldn't be forced to.
I believe that MS has made a mistake with the requirements for Win11 and it will be a failure !

2021-10-09T14:51:28.38+00:00 Microsoft is clearly in league with Intel - trying to con poor customers into buying new PC's (with Intel Inside) just so they can continue to use the latest version of Windows (although, up until last year - MS said that Windows 10 would be the last version of Windows) - explain that
As for the requirement for TPM
NEITHER my 5 year old HIGH SPEC ASUS X75VC or my 7 year old EVEN higher spec i7 desktop are compatible - how many devices are compatibke
I reckon that either MS reduces the requirement for TPM or this upgrade will be a Win Vista type FLOP ! -

2022-01-23T00:51:05.57+00:00 Hi WalterUllrich-3771,
Windows 11 can be installed on most computers in either a supported or unsupported fashion.
There is full support for Windows 10 for 3 to 4 years: Oct 14, 2025
Many continue to use Windows 7 and there has been no support for years: Jan 14, 2020

2023-05-21T04:09:40.2566667+00:00 For the record, Microsoft has also had a track record of every other version of Windows being great and not bloated or whatever the case may be:
Windows Version Community Option XP Great: Still used by ATM's and POS systems today Vista Awful: Bloated, buggy, slow 7 Great: Stripped down version of Vista with great bug fixes 8, 8.1 Awful: Bloated, disorganized, ugly, all apps full-screen 10 Great: cleaner than 8, 8.1, no forced full-screen apps/Start 11 Iffy: task bar centered by default (Mac wanna-be), unreasonable spec req's, was originally not meant to be 12 [unknown] So maybe, given the history, Microsoft will learn from these mistakes and fix this requirement issue...
