Get the message of "Failed to initialize SmartAudio. The application will exit" message keeps coming up after upgrade to windows 10 version 1909. Click OK and the message re-appears in less than a minute, again.

I have looked for several ways to get this message to stop coming up. I have tried several things to get this message to stop showing up and have not been successful.

Anyone have any ideas?

    I stopped the CxAudioSvc

Then I went to Add Remove Programs

Typed in Audio in the search and opened Audio Controls (Synaptics Hong Kong Limited)

Clicked on Advanced Options and scroll down.

Clicked on both Repair and Reset buttons (see image)

I started the CxAudioSvc service again, and the error no longer appears (it used to appear every time I changed volume)
