azure storage account is iaas or paas?

Hi team,

is azure storage account is iaas or paas? i know storage is iaas but since i am not managing the storage server, availability/dependencies behind the azure storage account i think it is paas?

please confirm

    Azure Storage accounts are an IaaS service.

    Azure storage account is an IaaS offering because you get it in IaaS offering. When the question asks about creating Azure storage, you cannot mark it as a PaaS offering since in PaaS it is always handled by the cloud provider and it will automatically scale.

    I am not an expert at it but since I am preparing for AZ-900 so this logic only quenches my thirst for the answer. Please do correct me if you guys don't feel it has logic.

    @Shivam Gupta All the Iaas services are included in the PaaS... so Azure Storage Account is for all 3 Structures...

    This seems to be relevant from the perspective of the _aaS.

    If you scroll down about 1/3 of the page on the concepts, you will see storage is part of all three, but begins as IaaS.

    The link below also says that Storage is IaaS. Read this text in the link: "a showcase of the core elements of infrastructure as a service (IaaS): compute, storage, and networking."

    Also, the following links clearly say that Storage is IaaS:

    On the 1st video (time 1:15) in the following link says that Storage is PaaS, which could be a mistake as well.

    I would consider Storage clearly as IaaS, and NOT PaaS.
