Has free access for the 365 Developer Program ended, except for those who have a paid Visual Studio subscription?

I keep getting the same error message 50001 that everyone else gets.

No one has offered any solutions besides the same regurgitated answers about trying a different browser, etc.

I keep getting told to purchase Visual Studio, but I don't have $1000 to spend.

This has been going on for at least a month and people (dozens, even hundreds) deserve answers.

I would like ONE, just ONE person from Microsoft to give a REAL answer that has ACTIONABLE information.

I have heard chatter about more and more people going over to AWS's system, and I guess I don't blame them.

This situation is unconscionable.
