Continue the task sequence steps after reboot of the target client

I have a task sequence that installs several applications and runs PS scripts that follows up the application. There are also a few reboots in between the application installations within the task. After the reboot task, the task sequence doesn't seem to continue unless I log back in to Windows Server OS. Once I'm logged in, that's when the task sequence continues. How do I configure the task sequence to continue without me logging to the client so the task sequence can continue?

Thanks in advance...

    Hi,

    Hope everything is going well.

1,Kindly check the smsts.log and see if there is any related error information.

2,Besides installing applications, does this task sequence also install an operating system? If yes, you can try to update Windows ADK to have a try.

    Best regards,

    Simon

    Hi Simon,

I'm looking at the smsts.log and found a few red flags. What exactly should I focus on?

    Red Flags:

"Failed to find property 'AutoApplyDeployment' in 'CCM_ApplicationManagementClientConfig' class definition. Error 0x80041002. Default value will be used for this property"

"Failed to create an instance of COM progress UI object. Error code 0x80040154"

    "Failed to PutInstance. Error 0x80041002"

    Thanks...

Forgot to mention that Windows OS install is not part of the Task Sequence

    Hi,

Thanks for your information. Hope everything is going well.

The errors are general errors, 0x80041002 = Not found, and 0x80040154 = Class not registered.

Please help check the Logon requirement configuration of your applications at the Deployment type User Experience page. It has the following three options:

Only when a user is logged on

Whether or not a user is logged on

Only when no user is logged on

Are you using the default option: Only when a user is logged on? If yes, change it to another option to have a try.

Hope it helps. Have a nice day!

    Best regards,

    Simon

    Hi Simon,

Double checked each applications within the Task Sequence and verified that each application's User Experience has these settings:

    Installation behavior: Install for system

logon requirement: Whether or not a user is logged on

    Installation program visibility: Hidden

The only thing I can think of is that I have PS script task launching after the reboot command.
