Typically, you should use the DataListItem.DataItem property to retrieve the data object for a DataListItem object.
The IDataItemContainer.DataItem member is an explicit interface member implementation. It can be used only when the DataListItem instance is cast to an IDataItemContainer interface.
Notes to Inheritors
To define a custom implementation for retrieving the data object for a DataListItem, override the DataItem member. The explicit interface implementation uses the DataItem property to retrieve the associated data object.
