WebApplicationLifetimeEvent Constructors

Definition

Initializes a new instance of the WebApplicationLifetimeEvent class.

Overloads

WebApplicationLifetimeEvent(String, Object, Int32)

Initializes the WebApplicationLifetimeEvent class using the supplied parameters.

WebApplicationLifetimeEvent(String, Object, Int32, Int32)

Initializes the WebApplicationLifetimeEvent class using the supplied parameters.

WebApplicationLifetimeEvent(String, Object, Int32)

Initializes the WebApplicationLifetimeEvent class using the supplied parameters.

protected public:
 WebApplicationLifetimeEvent(System::String ^ message, System::Object ^ eventSource, int eventCode);
protected internal WebApplicationLifetimeEvent (string message, object eventSource, int eventCode);
new System.Web.Management.WebApplicationLifetimeEvent : string * obj * int -> System.Web.Management.WebApplicationLifetimeEvent
Protected Friend Sub New (message As String, eventSource As Object, eventCode As Integer)

Parameters

message
String

The message associated with the event.

eventSource
Object

The object that is the source of the event.

eventCode
Int32

The code associated with the event. When you implement a custom event, the event code must be greater than WebExtendedBase.

Examples

The following code example shows how to use the WebApplicationLifetimeEvent in an ASP.NET custom health event. This code example is mainly intended to show the correct syntax to use.

// Invoked in case of events identified only by
// their event code.
public SampleWebApplicationLifetimeEvent(string msg,
    object eventSource, int eventCode):
  base(msg, eventSource, eventCode)
{
    // Perform custom initialization.
    customCreatedMsg =
    string.Format("Event created at: {0}",
    DateTime.Now.TimeOfDay.ToString());
}
' Invoked in case of events identified only by
' their event code.
Public Sub New(ByVal msg As String, _
ByVal eventSource As Object, _
ByVal eventCode As Integer)
    MyBase.New(msg, eventSource, eventCode)
    ' Perform custom initialization.
    customCreatedMsg = _
    String.Format("Event created at: {0}", _
    DateTime.Now.TimeOfDay.ToString())

End Sub

Remarks

This constructor is used internally by the ASP.NET health-monitoring system. You will never use it to create an instance of the WebApplicationLifetimeEvent class, but you can call this constructor when implementing your own event type that inherits from this class.

Note

The WebApplicationLifetimeEvent constructor is not intended to be used directly from your code. It is called by ASP.NET. You can call the WebApplicationLifetimeEvent constructor when deriving from the WebApplicationLifetimeEvent class.
