Match without using a monetary key in data reconciliation (preview)
[This article is prerelease documentation and is subject to change.]
This article explains how to match transactions through reconciliation in Excel with Microsoft 365 Copilot for Finance without having to use a monetary key. This capability extends the use cases for reconciliation in Excel by enabling matches to occur based only on mapping keys that involve dates, text, and strings. It removes the requirement for a monetary key (amount). During reconciliation vector selection, users can now remove any monetary keys that are suggested. If no monetary keys are suggested, users can choose not to add them.
To provide increased visibility into the results of matching without monetary keys, the Potentially matched section of the reconciliation report shows the detailed results of one-to-many (1:N), many-to-many (N:N), and many-to-one (N:1) matching instead of one consolidated line for each source table. When 1:N, N:N, and N:1 detail transactions are shown in the Potentially matched section of the report, they're presented in groups that are separated by blank rows.
