New releases: MOM 2005 evaluation version, and updated management packs
The quickest way to try out the new MOM 2005 bits is to download the evaluation version. You get a 120-day license, and the ability to upgrade in place to the full MOM 2005.
And of course, to take full advantage of MOM 2005's new features, the MOM team are releasing updated management packs:
- Active Directory management pack
- Windows Base Operating System management pack
- Exchange Server management pack
- MBSA management pack
- Windows Server Clusters management pack
- MOM 2005 management pack*
- IIS management pack
- DNS management pack
- SQL management pack
More updated management packs will follow over the next six months or so. Note that existing MOM 2000 management packs will work just fine with MOM 2005, but you'll have to extend them to add all the goodies like topological views and state monitoring.

I donwloaded the MOM 2005 evaluation and subsequenlty purchased the permanent licensing. How do I apply the permanent key, so that I do not lose all of the work done in the evaluation?
