MOM 2005 release: the aftermath
For more news about the RTM of MOM 2005, go check out Nick MacKechnie's blog. In particular:
- "Microsoft Operations Manager 2005 Releases to Manufacturing" has dates when customers can get their hands on actual code, plus pointers to the usual marketing materials: product overview, comparison of the two editions of MOM 2005, what's new, FAQ, etc. And the animated demo does a great job of introducing what MOM 2005 can do.
- "5 MOM 2005 Solution Accelerators" contains pointers to the five accelerators that you can get right now - these give prescriptive guidance for how best to use and extend MOM 2005 to tackle particular business problems.
Closer to home, the MOM team held their ship party yesterday - and after many bottles of bubbly were consumed, the hunt was on for managers to throw into the fountain outside. A couple of them hid out in our corridor for a while, although judging by the eventual outburst of stampeding footsteps and shouting, they weren't too successful.
There were still damp spots on the carpet this morning…
