Mango Montage–Windows Phone Camp “Kick-off”
On October 12-13, at the Marriott in Kendall Square (Cambridge MA) – said to be one of the most innovative patches of real estate in the world – some 250+ experienced (and first-time) mobile developers convened for a two-day launch event for Windows Phone 7.5 (code-named “Mango”).
On the first day, Microsoft developer evangelists and special guests provided a thorough overview of the platform, and on the second day the creativity flowed as participants at the hackathon made their ideas come alive in a wide array of applications. At the end of the day, voting ensued as the crowd selected their favorite applications – with the winners each receiving their own Windows Phone devices!
This event was only one of more than a dozen Windows Phone Camps being held on the East Coast from now through December. In the Northeast area specifically, there are FIVE more one-day events planned, offering plenty of additional opportunities to release your inner Mango!
