Speed Limits are in effect
I came across this piece of feedback yesterday:
Groove 2007 is my new favourite app but it has some limitations, this refers to a standalone installation of Microsoft Office Groove 2007, I’ll look at the benefits of Groove 2007 within the context of Groove Server 2007 and Groove Enterprise services later.
It’s a great read for those of you that are starting to explore Groove 2007. Fanatical has some good tips on keeping your space runing smoothely.
Readers might be interested in learning about more of the limits in Groove 2007. I've listed some of the more pertinent ones below:
Here are some of the key* limits:
Maximum individual file size (in a Files tool or otherwise): 2GB
Maximum total content size that can be serialized to others during invitation: 2GB
Maximum Total File Size in a Folder Sharing workspace: 2GB
Maximum total File size in a SharePoint Files tool: 1GB
Maximum Total File and Folder count in a Folder Sharing workspace: 5,000
Maximum total File and Folder count in a SharePoint Files tool: 5,000
Meetings tool limits text input to:
Meeting title to 256 chars
Meeting location to 256 chars
Action item names to 256 chars
Agenda item names to 256 chars
Agenda item duration to 24 hours
Account Configuration limits text input to:
Key field to 37 chars
Account name to 256 chars
Password limits text input to 256 chars
Calendar subject limits text input to 256 chars
In Forms we only allow 1 attachments field per Form
*Note: I don't intend this as an exhaustive list, but it contains some of the key limits you are likely to come across in your workspace.

Hi I have the same question as Jeremy. How do you override the soft limits?? I've looked all of the web trying to find anyone or anything but there's absolutely nothing. If you can help us on this, thanks.
